Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes-Linux)
Armada is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join its Edge team, focusing on the design, automation, optimization, and operation of Kubernetes-based platforms supporting Galleon mobile data centers and Atlas cloud integration. This role is pivotal in building and managing resilient, secure, and scalable Kubernetes environments across diverse edge locations and cloud infrastructures, ensuring the reliability of Armada's distributed computing platform.
Key responsibilities include architecting, deploying, configuring, and managing highly available Kubernetes clusters in both on-premises and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. The engineer will administer and monitor the health, performance, and capacity of these clusters, implement and manage networking and storage solutions, and drive Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using tools like Terraform and Ansible. Additionally, the role involves supporting and troubleshooting complex issues related to the Kubernetes platform, containerized services, networking, and infrastructure, as well as implementing and enforcing Kubernetes security best practices.
The ideal candidate must be a U.S. citizen with at least 7 years of experience in DevSecOps, SRE, or platform engineering, focusing on complex production environments. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and administering production Kubernetes clusters, particularly in on-premises and bare-metal deployments, is required. Deep expertise in Linux administration and troubleshooting, proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash, and strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code solutions are also essential.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $157,596 to $196,995, along with equity and subsidized benefits.
