Senior Product Designer
Diligent Corporation is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead UX/UI design within our dynamic product design team. As part of the broader UX department, you will spearhead high-impact initiatives, balancing forward-thinking exploration with essential design efforts that extend beyond traditional product roadmaps. You will guide design direction, influence product strategy, and collaborate across teams to transform complex challenges into simple, elegant solutions that make a lasting impact.
In this role, you will lead the design process end-to-end, from discovery and ideation to final handoff and iteration post-launch. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, you will define problems and shape solutions. Your responsibilities include translating research insights and business requirements into clear, usable, and visually compelling designs. You will champion user-centered design and ethical AI integration within product teams and across the organization. Additionally, you will evaluate and adopt AI-powered tools that support design research, prototyping, testing, and content generation. Facilitating workshops, design critiques, and collaborative sessions to align teams, as well as mentoring and providing feedback to junior designers, are also key aspects of this role. Actively contributing to design systems, processes, and team best practices is expected.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of professional experience in product design, including SaaS and enterprise software. You should demonstrate the ability to own complex design projects end-to-end and possess a strong foundation in UX and visual design, supported by an excellent portfolio. A deep understanding of product design cycles, from research through delivery and iteration, is essential. Fluency in modern design tools is required, along with experience conducting user research. Strong facilitation and communication skills, comfort in presenting and collaborating with peers, and experience working with and contributing to design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency are necessary. The ability to apply AI in design workflows and awareness of responsible AI practices, bias considerations, and ethical implications are also important. Bonus skills include coding knowledge, motion design, or data visualization skills.
