Senior Quality Engineer, Performance and Analytics
Ridgeline is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their Performance & Analytics team, focusing on developing and enhancing a next-generation performance and analytics platform. This role involves designing and implementing scalable analytics systems using modern OLAP and columnar technologies, cloud services, and strong engineering practices to deliver high-quality, production-grade capabilities.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with design, strategy, and engineering teams to translate analytical requirements into scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing queries and data models for OLAP/columnar systems to support fast analytical workloads, building cloud-native services on AWS, and creating and maintaining automated tests at multiple levels to ensure quality and correctness. Additionally, you will analyze performance and attribution metrics, expose them via APIs and reporting layers, and communicate designs, trade-offs, and status clearly with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in architecting and designing performance reporting and analytics systems. Proficiency in Kotlin or similar programming languages is required, along with familiarity working with OLAP or columnar databases and the capability to optimize queries. A solid understanding of data modeling for analytical use cases, experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, and a degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline are essential. The candidate should also be willing to learn about new technologies while developing expertise in a business domain, understand the value of automated tests at all levels, and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ridgeline offers a competitive salary range of $146,000 to $172,000 annually, along with benefits such as unlimited vacation, educational and wellness reimbursements, and $0-cost employee insurance plans. Employees can also participate in the Company Stock Plan, subject to the applicable Stock Option Agreement.
