Senior RTB Product Manager
Appier is seeking a data-driven and collaborative individual to join our team as an RTB Advertising Optimization Product Manager. In this role, you will work closely with data scientists, campaign managers, and Japan-based business teams to enhance Real-Time Bidding (RTB) campaign performance through model improvements, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration. This position offers the opportunity to influence product optimization efforts in the Japan market and support local business development and sales teams in identifying key market challenges and shaping go-to-market strategies.
Key responsibilities include partnering with data scientists and campaign managers to improve RTB model and algorithm performance, analyzing competitor strategies and market trends to uncover optimization opportunities, and driving data-informed decision-making to enhance campaign outcomes. You will design and evaluate large-scale A/B experiments using billions of daily auction requests, research and test end-to-end RTB ad serving behaviors to identify areas for improvement, and explore new signals to enhance model effectiveness. Additionally, you will collaborate with the SSP partnership team to optimize traffic quality and supply-side performance, and coordinate cross-functional requirements with strong communication and alignment across regional and global teams.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, or related fields, and must be available for full-time work, preferably based in Tokyo or able to travel to Japan frequently. Proficiency in Japanese is required, with business-level English or Mandarin considered a plus. Strong communication skills are essential to clearly convey ideas and technical findings across both local and global stakeholders. Experience in digital advertising campaign operations, media buying, or performance optimization—especially within RTB environments—is highly desirable. Experience working directly with Japanese clients or stakeholders is also a strong advantage.
