Senior Security Engineer
Garner Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in protecting our most valuable asset: patient data. Our team is responsible for securing cloud infrastructure, implementing secure coding practices, and maintaining trust with our clients. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects that address multiple areas of security within a fast-growing healthcare technology company.
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will provide technical leadership in securing networks, systems, applications, and databases. Your responsibilities will include embedding security into the build pipeline through automated SAST/DAST testing and policy enforcement, overseeing vulnerability management and associated remediation efforts, and participating in our Security Engineering on-call rotation to respond to security incidents. Additionally, you will educate engineers and advocate for a security-oriented culture across the engineering organization.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in Security Engineering, with at least 2 years in a B2B organization. Strong proficiency in cloud security, particularly with AWS IAM, GuardDuty, and KMS, is essential. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, application security, and securing RESTful APIs is required. Familiarity with modern IAM solutions and a desire to be part of a high-performing, mission-driven team are also important.
The target salary range for this position is $182,000 - $225,000. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health, and more.
