Wrike is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security team, which is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity and credibility of data within our platform. In this senior role, you will be responsible for owning and evolving the security posture of Wrike’s production, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. This position offers the opportunity to architect a "secure by default" infrastructure that enables our engineering and other teams to operate swiftly without compromising safety.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and improving security controls such as hardening, network segmentation, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and endpoint security across our entire fleet. You will lead the technical direction for cybersecurity defense, encompassing enterprise posture management, threat detection, and vulnerability management. Collaborating with IT Operations, System Operations, DevOps, and other teams, you will embed security into the core of our architecture and change management processes. Additionally, you will develop and maintain our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) strategy to ensure proactive visibility and mentor engineering teams on secure system design.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with GCP permissions and security configurations within Kubernetes, Azure, and on-premises environments. High proficiency in intrusion detection, exploit development, Linux operations, and security understanding is essential. A proven ability to identify gaps in cloud designs and recommend enhancements for authentication, authorization, and bastion host setups is required. Strong communication skills to convey complex security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, along with a track record of managing large projects with complex deliverables, are also necessary.

Wrike offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 28 calendar days of paid vacation, sick leave compensation with 5 paid uncertified sick days, parental leave (18 weeks maternity and 4 weeks paternity), 2 volunteer days, health insurance for employees and dependents, a life insurance plan, a utility allowance of 30 EUR per month (subject to taxation), a fitness plan of 800 EUR per year, and full-remote work with on-demand access to co-working spaces.

Joining Wrike means becoming part of a team of innovators and creators who solve complex work problems. We promote a hybrid work model for team members near our office hubs in San Diego, Prague, Dublin, Nicosia, and Tallinn, with 2–3 in-office days per week to foster collaboration and teamwork. Our culture values being smart, dedicated, and approachable, with a focus on customer-centricity, collaboration, creativity, and commitment.
