Senior Site Reliability Engineer
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Headout, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our cloud-based infrastructure, particularly focusing on Kubernetes clusters. This role is pivotal within our engineering team, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our platform as we continue to expand our global presence in the travel industry.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, developing reusable workflows, and facilitating canary releases to enhance deployment processes. You will also be tasked with creating comprehensive observability systems, including service-level dashboards and finely tuned alerts, to proactively manage incidents and maintain system health. Additionally, you will work on improving application performance by optimizing backend services, APIs, and databases to ensure efficient and responsive user experiences.
We are seeking candidates with 4-7 years of experience in operating customer-facing services at scale. Proficiency in managing and debugging Kubernetes clusters is essential, along with experience in service mesh and tracing tools such as Istio and Jaeger. Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure is required, with a preference for AWS. Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting stacks, including Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, New Relic, or Datadog, is also necessary. Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java/Kotlin, as well as expertise in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Pulumi, are highly valued.
