Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform
Everlaw is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our AI Platform team, focusing on developing and operating AI capabilities that enhance our legal technology solutions. This role involves working within a dynamic environment to build systems that assist users in navigating extensive document collections efficiently. As part of our mission to promote justice by illuminating truth, you'll contribute to creating tools that make complex legal data more accessible and actionable.
In this position, you will design and implement AI platform features such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic retrieval systems, and agentic orchestration patterns. Your work will involve developing indexing pipelines, optimizing query flows, and fine-tuning relevance metrics to improve the performance and scalability of our AI-driven applications. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, Platform, Security, and DevOps, will be essential to deploy and maintain these features in production environments.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, or Rust. A strong understanding of algorithms, computer science fundamentals, relational databases, API design, and user interface development is required. Practical experience in building and deploying AI systems, particularly in areas like RAG pipelines, large-scale retrieval systems, or LLM integrations, is highly desirable.
