Senior Software Engineer
Armada is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Edge organization. This role involves architecting and developing core services for the Armada Edge Platform, integrating a hybrid fleet of Azure Local, OpenShift, and Kubernetes clusters. Additionally, the position includes building automation software to provision and manage physical network infrastructure, such as firewalls and switches, alongside compute nodes.
Key responsibilities include developing robust infrastructure services that abstract platform complexity, creating unified APIs for deploying to various clusters. The engineer will build custom controllers and orchestration logic to enable seamless interaction with Azure Arc and OpenShift APIs. Responsibilities also encompass engineering Zero-Touch Provisioning workflows for bare-metal compute nodes and integrating hardware telemetry into the platform control plane for health monitoring.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of professional development experience focusing on backend systems, distributed architecture, platform engineering, or network automation. Expertise in Golang, with over 5 years of experience, is required, along with proven experience in writing software to provision and manage network devices using programmatic interfaces like Netconf, RESTconf, or gRPC. Technical familiarity with Kubernetes, Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI), or OpenShift architectures, deep experience with Linux systems programming, and a strong understanding of Docker, OCI runtimes, and L2/L3 networking protocols are also essential.
Armada offers a competitive base salary ranging from $157,600 to $197,000 USD, along with equity options.
