Senior Software Engineer
As a Senior Software Engineer at Awin, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional, service-oriented team dedicated to enhancing and maintaining our Affiliate Marketing platform. This role involves designing and building reliable services by writing clean, secure, and well-tested code, adhering to modern engineering best practices. Your contributions will significantly impact system efficiency, technical quality, and team effectiveness, as you take ownership of meaningful challenges and balance technical excellence with sustainable product and business needs.
In this position, you will work within a small, collaborative team utilizing agile methodologies and practices. Your responsibilities include taking ownership of applications across their full lifecycle, from design and implementation to operation. You will proactively identify improvement opportunities and technical risks, helping to shape the technical direction of the platform. Additionally, you will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, support agile workflows by facilitating team ceremonies and workshops, mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, and troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure service reliability and operational stability.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming and proficiency in multiple programming languages, ideally including Java and Spring. A passion for clean, maintainable code and a solid understanding of SOLID principles are essential. Hands-on experience designing AWS-based systems, microservices with REST APIs, and event-driven architectures is required. The role also demands a focus on engineering quality through code reviews and testing, responsibility for maintaining CI/CD pipelines, confident use of version control systems like Git, and a solid understanding of both relational and non-relational databases. Familiarity with web technologies and modern frontend frameworks, such as Angular, is beneficial. Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and exposure to agile processes, particularly Scrum, are also important.
