Senior Software Engineer, Backend Development(Ad Cloud Serving Services)
Appier is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Ad Cloud Serving Services Team in Taipei, Taiwan. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the core systems that drive Appier's advertising technology, handling high-concurrency, real-time requests to ensure stable, low-latency, and high-performance ad delivery. The Senior Software Engineer will lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend services for real-time ad recommendation and core ad tech infrastructure. Key responsibilities include driving technical roadmaps, optimizing system components for latency and throughput, enhancing system observability through comprehensive monitoring, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior engineers and participating in on-call rotations to maintain product reliability.
Candidates should have 3-5+ years of experience in backend software development, particularly with high-performance, high-concurrency systems. Proficiency in Go or Python, strong system design skills for scalable distributed systems, and experience with network API design and message queues are essential. A solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, familiarity with DevOps practices, and experience with observability tools are also required. Preferred qualifications include a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, experience in refactoring complex systems, familiarity with A/B testing frameworks, and exposure to ad-tech or recommendation systems.
