Senior Software Engineer, Backend Development (REC)
Appier is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend development to join our Enterprise Solution Engineering Team, Product Recommendation (ES REC). In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and building scalable backend architectures that deliver personalized experiences, aligning with Appier's mission to empower businesses through cutting-edge AdTech and MarTech solutions.
As a key member of the ES REC team, you will own sizable engineering projects, architect and implement AI agents to automate decision-making processes, and build machine learning pipelines for large-scale personalization. Your responsibilities will also include designing cloud-native architectures, defining CI/CD pipelines, leading system designs, mentoring engineers, and continuously improving system observability and performance.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of software development experience, proficiency in Python or Go, and the ability to build web services on Linux with a solid understanding of REST/GraphQL API design. A proactive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in the MarTech domain are essential. Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and openness to using AI tools to enhance coding efficiency are also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Helm, AI agent development related to LLMs or multi-agent systems, understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks, and experience in designing large-scale distributed systems. Knowledge of monitoring and alert systems such as Prometheus or Grafana is advantageous.
