Senior Software Engineer
As a Senior Software Engineer at Diligent Corporation, you will be instrumental in designing and developing our Third Party Risk Management SaaS platform, built on Laravel (PHP). This role involves leading the creation of new features and complex product capabilities, ensuring high standards of performance, reliability, security, and maintainability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and owning secure, scalable services within our Laravel applications, guiding technical decisions, and evaluating trade-offs to meet reliability, performance, and cost goals. You will leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping, while rigorously validating outputs to ensure quality and safety. Additionally, you will mentor and coach engineers, provide technical guidance and feedback, and drive initiatives that improve developer experience and system health.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile environment, delivering secure, scalable services. Deep expertise in PHP and Laravel, with experience delivering and scaling production features, is essential. Strong experience with the TALL stack (Tailwind, Alpine.js, Laravel, Livewire) and advanced knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB), including performance tuning and data modeling, are also required. Familiarity with frontend/backend interactions (Vue, React, or Blade) and solid experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms are important. Understanding high-level LLM concepts and safe AI use cases, along with experience using AI tools to accelerate development processes, will be advantageous.
