Senior Software Engineer
Garner Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic Engineering team in New York City. In this role, you will lead technical strategy and decision-making within your assigned domains, utilizing AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems. Mentoring early-career engineers and collaborating across disciplines to understand the domain and iterate on projects are key aspects of the position. Ensuring user privacy and security through best practices is also a critical responsibility.
The ideal candidate possesses over four years of software engineering experience and a generalist mindset, ready to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques in a fast-paced startup environment. Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, is essential. Quick learning ability, mentoring skills, familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance, and a desire to be part of a high-performing, mission-driven team are also important qualifications.
Garner Health offers a target salary range of $190,000 to $240,000 for this position, with individual compensation depending on qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. The role is also eligible for participation in equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health, and more.
