Senior Software Engineer - GenAI

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Generative AI at Energy Exemplar, you will be instrumental in developing and scaling AI-driven capabilities within our simulation and planning platforms. This position involves not only delivering new features but also designing reusable Agentic AI platforms that enable multiple product teams to build AI agents aligned with energy-market domain requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include architecting and implementing end-to-end Generative AI systems, such as advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI workflows, across our product suite. You will design and build platforms that support the creation, orchestration, monitoring, evaluation, and governance of AI agents for various use cases. Additionally, you will define domain-aware RAG architectures to enable AI agents to reason over energy market rules, model inputs, constraints, and simulation outputs.

We are seeking candidates with 5 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly with strong expertise in Python and/ Proven experience in delivering production Generative AI solutions, including RAG implementations at scale, is essential. A deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), agent orchestration patterns, vector search, prompt optimization, memory strategies, and evaluation frameworks is also required. Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture, preferably Azure, as well as containers and orchestration platforms, will be advantageous.
