Armada is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of our on-premise Compute as a Service (CaaS) and GPU as a Service (GPUaaS) platforms. This role is integral to building a robust and scalable infrastructure, enabling efficient deployment and management of applications. Additionally, the position involves contributing to the development of a cloud-integrated marketplace for seamless application deployment onto our on-premise bare metal Kubernetes clusters. The role is based in our Bellevue, Washington office.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the architectural design and implementation of scalable CaaS and GPUaaS platforms on on-premise bare metal clusters. The engineer will implement and integrate technologies such as hypervisors (e.g., KVM), container runtimes (Docker, containerd), orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and GPU virtualization technologies (Kubevirt, vGPU). Developing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, as well as optimizing performance and resource utilization of the bare metal infrastructure, are also essential duties.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with over six years of experience in infrastructure engineering or software development. Candidates should have proven experience in designing and implementing CaaS and/or GPUaaS platforms, a strong understanding of containerization technologies, and experience with bare metal infrastructure and hardware management. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java, and experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible are also required.

Armada offers a competitive base salary ranging from $157,600 to $197,000, varying based on location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, this role includes equity and subsidized benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, retirement plan options, unlimited paid time off, and 14 paid company holidays per year.

Joining Armada means becoming part of a full-stack edge infrastructure company delivering compute, connectivity, and sovereign AI/ML to some of the world's most remote places.
