Senior Software Engineer, Identity Graph
Baselayer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance its comprehensive identity graph of U.S. businesses and consumers. This role involves developing and maintaining systems for data ingestion, entity resolution, and API services, contributing to Baselayer's mission of providing accurate and real-time business identity verification.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing pipelines to ingest and normalize diverse public records, ensuring data consistency and accuracy. They will build and maintain entity resolution systems to match businesses and individuals across various data sources, and develop customer-facing APIs for search, lookup, monitoring, and webhook delivery. Additionally, the role includes schema design, database management, and performance optimization to handle high-volume data processing.
Candidates should have experience in end-to-end product development, including data ingestion, storage, and API deployment. Proficiency in asynchronous Python programming and managing services at scale is essential. Expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design under live load and zero-downtime migrations, is required. Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks, and building multi-tenant APIs with robust access control, is also necessary.
The compensation package includes a salary range of $195,000 to $300,000, plus equity ranging from 0.05% to 0.25%. Benefits encompass flexible paid time off, fully paid health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and a $250 annual gym stipend. Employees are expected to work in the San Francisco office four days per week.
