Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead and maintain the high-definition (HD) maps infrastructure integral to our product suite. This role is pivotal in addressing our customers' diverse needs, including calculating localized information, querying data across extensive global maps, and visualizing and inspecting map data. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of our mapping technologies by collaborating closely with both internal engineering teams and external customers.

In this position, you will be responsible for owning the maps infrastructure across all of our products. Key duties include defining our map storage format to accommodate additional features and efficiently distributing map data, with a focus on user interfaces, data pipelines, storage solutions, and software development kits (SDKs). Collaboration with engineers and customers on existing and future designs and features is also a critical aspect of the role.

The ideal candidate will have experience building software components or subsystems that address real-world mapping and localization challenges. A minimum of 2 years of experience developing in C++ or Python is required. Experience working with autonomous vehicles or simulation products is considered a valuable asset.

Compensation for this full-time position includes a base salary ranging from $153,000 to $222,000 annually, along with equity options and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits encompass health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Please note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on the jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition fosters a collaborative and innovative work environment, emphasizing flexibility and trust in employees to manage their schedules responsibly. While the expectation is for employees to primarily work from the Applied Intuition office five days a week, occasional remote work is supported to accommodate personal commitments. This role offers significant growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company at the forefront of autonomous vehicle development.
