Senior Software Engineer, Orders Core Services (Remote)
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Orders Core Services team at ezCater, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the systems that process every order on our platform. ezCater is the leading food for work technology company in the US, connecting businesses with over 125,000 restaurants nationwide to simplify workplace catering. In this role, you will design and build highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems within a hybrid monolithic/microservices architecture. Collaborating closely with our data technology team, you will enable detailed insights into our orders, unlocking future roadmap opportunities across the organization. Your work will involve partnering with product managers and business stakeholders to understand the complex processes that drive order fulfillment, aiming to enhance growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
We are seeking candidates with over 5 years of experience on a product engineering team, possessing strong backend development skills in Ruby on Rails or Go. A deep understanding of SQL and relational databases, particularly Postgres, is essential. Experience in designing and building large-scale systems, as well as extensive API design knowledge, is required. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containers, and event-driven systems like Kafka is a plus. An interest in AI-assisted development tools and a commitment to continuous learning and experimentation are highly valued.
The total target cash compensation for this position ranges from $158,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and region.
