The Senior Software Engineer, Performance and Analytics role at Ridgeline involves contributing to the development of a next-generation performance and analytics platform for the investment management industry. The Performance & Analytics team focuses on calculating, reporting, and presenting performance and attribution metrics across investments using modern OLAP and columnar technologies. In this position, the engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing components of the performance and analytics platform throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design reviews to implementation. The role includes developing and optimizing queries and data models for OLAP/columnar systems to support fast analytical workloads, building cloud-native services on AWS, and creating developer automation to ensure scalable, high-quality applications. Collaboration with design, strategy, and engineering teams is essential to translate analytical requirements into scalable solutions.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a history of architecting and designing new products and technologies. Proficiency in Kotlin or similar programming languages is required, along with familiarity with OLAP or columnar databases and the capability to optimize queries. A strong understanding of data modeling for analytical use cases and experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are also necessary. A degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline is preferred.

The typical starting salary range for this role is $146,000 to $172,000 annually. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
