Senior Software Engineer, Platform Engineering
Midi Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. As a rapidly growing virtual care clinic specializing in women's midlife health, we are committed to delivering high-quality, technology-driven healthcare solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of core services and infrastructure that support our mission.
In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining essential platform services, including authentication, authorization, notifications, job queues, and feature flags. You will also develop tools to enhance developer productivity, such as local development environments, test infrastructure, continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and internal command-line interfaces. Additionally, you will design and manage cloud infrastructure, improve system reliability and performance, and ensure compliance with security standards in a HIPAA-regulated environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience in building scalable production services and infrastructure. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, or TypeScript is essential, along with a strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data modeling, networking, and cloud services (AWS or GCP). Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, and observability tools like Datadog or Grafana is highly desirable. A product-focused mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor others are also important qualities for this role.
The estimated salary range for this position is $170,000 to $210,000 per year, depending on experience and skills. In addition to a competitive salary, employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and equity in the company.
