Senior Software Engineer - React Native
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in React Native at Diligent Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in developing a new mobile product. This position offers the opportunity to influence the design, development, and scalability of the application, working within a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, cross-platform mobile solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include building and enhancing cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, with a strong emphasis on quality, performance, and user experience. You will integrate React Native with native iOS and Android modules as needed, collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to implement new features, and make technical decisions regarding architecture, code quality, and mobile engineering best practices. Additionally, you will troubleshoot production issues, optimize app responsiveness and memory usage, and mentor other developers within the team.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of mobile application development experience, with substantial hands-on expertise in React Native. Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, a solid understanding of React Native fundamentals, and practical experience in native mobile development for iOS and Android using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java are essential. A strong grasp of cross-platform mobile architecture, experience with APIs, mobile networking, third-party integrations, and app performance optimization are also required. Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, and mobile CI/CD or release processes is important, along with clear communication skills and the ability to mentor other developers.
