Senior Software Engineer - Tallinn, Estonia Office

Sony Music's Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDE + GO) team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team in Tallinn, Estonia. This role involves building products that empower artists and record labels worldwide, contributing to all tiers of our architecture to produce high-quality, robust user experiences.

Key responsibilities include writing clean, tested, and maintainable code, working closely with product management to understand and implement client requirements, and designing, communicating, and executing a vision in collaboration with your team and other teams across the technology organization. Additionally, you will participate in re-architecture, refinement, and technical design of various systems, and mentor more junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning.

The ideal candidate has 8-10+ years of experience with modern web browser application development, including proficiency in TypeScript, React, and JavaScript. Familiarity with low-latency techniques to improve page load time and reliability, as well as experience with testing frameworks, is essential. A strong understanding of n-tier application architecture, microservices, REST, HTTP, OAuth, caching techniques, Node.js, pipeline deployments, CI environments, AWS Cloud technologies, application security best practices, and various data stores such as RDS, Snowflake, and graph databases is required. Prior experience mentoring or training, and the ability to persuade and influence peers, are advantageous.
