In this role, the Senior Structural Analyst is responsible for performing advanced structural and stress analyses for components and assemblies across Rocket Lab’s launch and space systems. Day-to-day activities include creating detailed finite element models, evaluating hardware for static and dynamic loading conditions, supporting design reviews, validating and verifying flight hardware, and generating concise engineering reports. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering teams is common, ensuring high reliability and performance standards are met for all structural elements.

Ideal candidates possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, with substantial experience in structural analysis in the aerospace industry. Proficiency in finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS and NASTRAN, as well as a solid understanding of metallic and composite materials, is essential. Demonstrated experience analyzing flight hardware, supporting test campaigns, and working in a fast-paced development environment is highly valued.
