The Senior Systems Engineer at May Mobility plays a pivotal role in advancing the company's autonomous vehicle technologies. This position involves collaborating across various engineering teams to support system design activities, ensuring alignment with requirements, and working closely with test and validation teams to establish verification criteria. The engineer will also lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop training materials to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.

Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining requirement specifications for autonomous systems by analyzing stakeholder, product, and safety requirements to define technical system and subsystem requirements. The role involves supporting system design activities, assessing impact and conformance to requirements, and collaborating with test and validation teams to define verification criteria. Additionally, the engineer will develop methods for identifying and documenting general and location-specific Operational Design Domains (ODD) and analyze real-world and simulation results to identify performance trends and potential issues.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and have over five years of experience in automotive engineering, focusing on software, hardware, or combined hardware/software products, with at least two years dedicated to autonomous driving systems. A strong working knowledge of automotive and autonomous vehicle technologies is essential. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Spark is also required. A Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and prior experience working in a startup environment are desirable.
