Fal is a leading generative media ecosystem that provides infrastructure, tools, and model access for AI product development. The company is seeking a hands-on, strategic Senior Tax Manager to oversee and scale all aspects of its corporate tax function. This role involves managing compliance, provision, planning, and strategy across direct and indirect taxes, while collaborating closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors.

The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for U.S. federal, state, and local income tax compliance, overseeing sales and use tax compliance, and managing quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740. The role also includes leading international tax planning and compliance, evaluating tax implications of new market entries, and managing transfer pricing policies. Additionally, the Senior Tax Manager will oversee sales and use tax compliance, implement tax processes, and monitor evolving tax obligations related to Fal's products.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a Master's in Tax preferred. A CPA certification is required, along with 7–10+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally combining Big 4/public accounting and in-house roles. Strong experience with corporate income tax (multi-state), ASC 740 tax provision, and sales & use tax compliance is essential. Experience in tech, AI, or high-growth startup environments is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with international tax concepts such as transfer pricing and foreign subsidiaries.

The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $200,000 to $250,000, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. This role is based onsite at Fal's downtown San Francisco headquarters.

Joining Fal offers the opportunity to build and own the tax function at a high-growth AI company, work alongside a world-class team in AI and engineering, and have a direct impact on company strategy and growth. The company provides competitive compensation, equity, and benefits, along with high autonomy and real ownership over core financial analysis.
