Senior Technical Program Manager - Riyadh

Newlab is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex technical and strategic programs in Riyadh. This role involves connecting startups with industry and government partners to develop and deliver pilot projects that validate critical technologies. The position is integral to Newlab's expansion into Saudi Arabia, aligning with the objectives of Vision 2030 to foster a dynamic startup ecosystem and accelerate economic diversification.

The Senior Technical Program Manager will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and prioritizing novel technologies to inform strategic decisions and pilot designs. Key duties include assessing startups holistically—considering team dynamics, technology readiness, engineering risks, and market opportunities—and ensuring alignment with Newlab and its partners. The role also entails maintaining a strong pulse on industry trends, capital flows, and policy signals to drive targeted pilot and investment activities.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 5–8 years of progressive technical or program leadership experience in mining, heavy industry, energy, or adjacent industrial systems is required. Strong analytical skills, stakeholder alignment capabilities, and full professional proficiency in both English and Arabic are essential.

The position offers a competitive base salary starting at $200,000 USD, commensurate with experience and work location, along with eligibility for a bonus program.
