Senior Workday Platform Engineer, open to remote across ANZ

Canva is seeking a Senior Workday Platform Engineer to join our Information Technology Supergroup, focusing on enhancing and scaling our Workday platform. This role is open to remote candidates across Australia and New Zealand, offering flexibility in work location. As part of the Business Platform Group, you'll contribute to systems that power Canva's business operations, including finance, people, and legal systems.

In this position, you will design and deliver scalable Workday solutions that align with platform best practices and Canva’s unique workflows. Responsibilities include owning end-to-end solution designs for high-impact system changes, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Workday Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technically sound and business-aligned designs. Additionally, you'll contribute hands-on to complex configurations and support the maintenance of consistent design quality.

The ideal candidate brings over five years of hands-on Workday experience, with expertise in modules such as HCM, Compensation, or Time Tracking. Experience with payroll solutions is highly desirable. You should have led at least two end-to-end Workday implementations, demonstrating proficiency in navigating complex configurations and cross-functional alignment. Strong communication skills, the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, and a collaborative approach are essential. Experience with agile methodologies and productivity tools aligned with this way of working is also required.
