The Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager - APAC at Canonical is a strategic position focused on building and nurturing relationships across the Asia-Pacific region within the technology ecosystem. This role sits within Canonical’s Alliances and Business Development team, working collaboratively to drive adoption of Ubuntu and Canonical technologies with key hardware, silicon, and integrated systems partners. The manager will be responsible for identifying, establishing, and nurturing strategic alliances, particularly with semiconductor vendors, original equipment manufacturers, and technology partners. The day-to-day work involves negotiating partnership agreements, developing joint go-to-market initiatives, attending industry events, and engaging deeply with ecosystem stakeholders across APAC. Facilitating partner enablement programs and ensuring successful collaboration on hardware and software integration projects are key aspects of the position.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in business development, partnerships, or alliances within the technology sector, especially in APAC markets. Experience working with semiconductor or hardware vendors, a deep understanding of software or cloud ecosystems, and technical credibility are essential.
