Snr. Data Analyst (Position located in Sao Paulo, Brazil)

The Senior Data Analyst position at KnowBe4's Threat Labs in São Paulo, Brazil, involves conducting in-depth analyses of real-world email-based cyber threats. The analyst will work closely with experienced security researchers to investigate suspicious emails, identify phishing and malware attacks, and extract indicators of compromise (IOCs) such as URLs, domains, and file hashes. This role is integral to KnowBe4's mission of enhancing global cybersecurity through proactive threat intelligence.

Key responsibilities include manually analyzing and classifying suspicious emails to detect phishing, malware, and spam attempts using internal tools. The analyst will extract and document IOCs from email headers, body content, and attachments, and research ongoing email-based threat campaigns, mapping attacker tactics to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. Additionally, the role involves building and maintaining internal threat intelligence datasets and collaborating with senior researchers to enhance detection quality.

Candidates should have at least three years of experience in the field, with a solid understanding of common cybersecurity threats such as domain spoofing and spear-phishing. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive analytical tasks are essential. Experience handling large datasets is also required. While a university degree is not mandatory, applicants with vocational IT training, technical diplomas, relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals), or strong digital literacy are encouraged to apply.
