Software Engineer (Gen AI)

EarnIn is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Generative AI to join our team in Mountain View, California. As a pioneer in earned wage access, EarnIn is dedicated to providing real-time financial flexibility to individuals living paycheck to paycheck. Our mission is to empower our community members by offering access to their earnings as they earn them, without mandatory fees, interest rates, or credit checks.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and deploying agent-driven chatbot and Generative AI workflows that deliver tangible customer impact. You will own features end-to-end, from definition and design to implementation, evaluation, and impact measurement. Collaborating closely with product, machine learning, and engineering teams, you will work in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment to continuously explore and improve AI-assisted software development processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering and system design, with at least 3 years of experience in the field. Proficiency in writing reliable and maintainable code is essential. A proactive approach to problem-solving, a growth mindset, and a keen interest in Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools are highly valued. Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or similar is a plus.

This full-time position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $181,000 to $222,000, along with equity and comprehensive benefits. The role requires a hybrid work arrangement, with in-person work at our Mountain View headquarters two days a week.
