Software Engineer II
As a Software Engineer II at Diligent Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in developing secure, scalable, and high-performing serverless microservices using TypeScript on AWS. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing event-driven, highly observable solutions leveraging AWS's ecosystem. You will optimize development and delivery processes to enhance team productivity and ensure continuous deployment to production. Collaborating in an Agile environment, you will engage in regular planning and execution of tasks, maintaining a healthy development flow. Additionally, you will utilize AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and research, while critically evaluating their outputs.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using AI to boost productivity, including prompt engineering and responsible evaluation of AI outputs, is essential. Hands-on experience with AWS services and familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like CDK or Terraform are required. A strong background in building RESTful APIs with Node.js/TypeScript, version control with Git, and experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL is also necessary. Familiarity with frontend technologies like React or Angular, and excellent collaboration and communication skills are important.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $86,320 to $107,900 CAD.
