Software Engineer III - iOS
As a Software Engineer III specializing in iOS development at Mindbody, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the creation and enhancement of our mobile applications. In this role, you will be responsible for self-directed code development, focusing on both new features and bug fixes to ensure successful team sprints. You will make implementation design decisions for new feature components, produce contingency plans for critical projects, and analyze technical requirements to gauge the level of effort required. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, designers, and backend engineers, you will conceptualize, estimate, and efficiently build out new APIs for mobile apps. Additionally, you will create technical documentation, write and execute comprehensive unit tests, perform peer code reviews, and stay abreast of new technologies to ensure our applications leverage the latest methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode, Cocoa Touch, and UIKit. Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data and Core Animation, as well as performance and memory tuning using tools like Instruments, is essential. Familiarity with cloud message APIs, push notifications, and code versioning tools such as Git is required. A solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle, RESTful APIs, and Apple's design principles and interface guidelines is also necessary. Strong UI and design skills, along with effective time management and a positive work attitude, will contribute to success in this role.
