The Solution Sales Executive - SLED at Diligent Corporation is a pivotal role focused on driving revenue growth within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) sector. This position involves collaborating with Account Executives and Directors to develop pipelines through prospecting and performing both inbound and outbound activities to generate opportunities. Key responsibilities include demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of Diligent’s solutions and specialized products, prospecting new leads within existing accounts to drive new opportunities, and adopting a solutions-selling approach to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions. The executive will manage the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity to deal closure using Diligent's approved sales methodology, effectively utilize sales tools to increase win rates and generate bookings, and accurately maintain CRM records, forecasts, and reports on projected bookings and deals closed. Additionally, the role involves gathering external insights on the competitive landscape and collaborating with account teams to discover new growth opportunities and build pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in account management and achieving revenue targets within the technology or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) industry, with specific experience in the SLED sector. Familiarity with selling through channel distribution processes is essential. The role requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders at different organizational levels, a commitment to continuous learning, strong communication and presentation skills, and a high level of curiosity and empathy to understand potential customers' contexts and pain points.
