Special Executions Group – Experienced Associate (NY)
Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) is seeking an Experienced Associate to join its Special Executions Group (SpecialX) in New York. SpecialX serves as the firm's dedicated financial and strategic execution arm, working alongside investment banking teams to ensure that financial analyses, growth positioning, and investor materials are meticulously prepared to meet the scrutiny of sophisticated private equity and strategic buyers. This role offers the opportunity to influence how high-growth FinTech companies present and defend their growth narratives to top-tier investors.
The Experienced Associate will be responsible for leading critical financial and growth workstreams across active deals. Key duties include conducting revenue quality assessments, cohort and retention analyses, unit economics evaluations, sales efficiency studies, and growth validation exercises. The role involves advising bankers and management teams on growth modeling and projection strategies, identifying potential areas of investor concern, and developing risk mitigation approaches prior to due diligence processes. Balancing deep execution on select transactions with high-level oversight across multiple deals is essential.
Candidates must possess a major in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional qualifications such as an MSc, MBA, CPA, or CFA are strongly preferred. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in transaction services, financial due diligence, or high-growth corporate finance roles is required, with a preference for experience in the SaaS, Tech, or FinTech sectors. Permanent U.S. work authorization is mandatory, as FT Partners does not sponsor work visas.
The annual salary for this position is expected to be $130,000, with the total compensation package potentially including discretionary awards and a comprehensive range of benefits.
