The Specialist, Legal role at Delivery Hero involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a variety of agreements, including NDAs, vendor contracts, leases, marketing agreements, recruitment contracts, loans, employment agreements, IP licensing contracts, and data protection agreements. The position requires providing strategic legal advice to stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance with the company’s business objectives. Additionally, the role includes updating contract templates as necessary and developing procedures for contract retention, management, and administration, including the use of Onit.
Key responsibilities encompass managing the entire process for legal matters, which may involve assisting with approvals or signatures, both electronic and wet. The Specialist is responsible for all corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters, ensuring compliance with the company's standard contracts and other corporate policies. The role also involves partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders and liaising with APAC and global HQ legal teams to ensure common standards and practices on contracts. Managing and resolving disputes involving multiple stakeholders, including handling cases filed with regulatory authorities and external parties, is also a critical aspect of the position.
The ideal candidate should have either 3+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal specialist, or 2+ years of relevant experience as a practicing lawyer or in-house counsel. Hands-on experience in broad commercial law, either in-house or with a reputable law firm, is essential. Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing commercial terms across a broad range of contracts is required. While e-commerce or internet industry experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The candidate should be commercially astute, highly driven, and pragmatic, with strong influencing expertise. A strong interest in contracts and contract administration, good communication and interpersonal skills, and being organized and meticulous are important qualities. Self-motivation, the ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure, and some experience in advising on data protection and corporate secretarial matters will be advantageous.
