Sr. Counsel, Core Product
Pinterest is seeking an experienced and innovative attorney to join its Legal & Compliance team as Senior Counsel, Core Product. This role involves providing strategic legal guidance to the company's core product and engineering teams, focusing on emerging areas such as generative AI, content acquisition, intellectual property, and privacy. The position offers an opportunity to influence product development and company strategy within a dynamic and growing organization.
The Senior Counsel will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including strategy, engineering, product management, communications, and legal, to identify and manage legal risks throughout all stages of product development. Key responsibilities include advising on issues related to generative AI, content acquisition, intellectual property, open source, and privacy. The role also involves developing and implementing practical measures to mitigate risk, enhance efficiency, and advance Pinterest's long-term goals. Additionally, the Senior Counsel will implement scalable legal processes, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and deliver high-quality guidance to product and engineering teams.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a demanding and innovative legal environment, with at least 2 years in-house at a technology company preferred. Experience counseling on issues related to artificial intelligence, intellectual property, safety, and privacy is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional judgment, impeccable integrity, and excellent communication skills. A process-driven and results-oriented approach, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues quickly and independently, is highly valued. Strategic thinking and a track record of delivering creative and pragmatic solutions to novel issues are also important qualifications.
Pinterest offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $141,502 to $291,328 USD, along with equity eligibility. The company provides a flexible working model, allowing for remote work with occasional in-person collaboration 1-2 times per year.
