Sr. Counsel, Regulatory

As Senior Regulatory Counsel at Pinterest, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company's interactions with global regulators, focusing on areas such as online safety, content regulation, intermediary liability, and competition. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies worldwide, responding to inquiries, and coordinating cross-functional responses across Legal and Business teams to effectively address high-stakes regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities include leading responses to regulatory inquiries and requests for information, drafting persuasive materials for regulatory engagements, and defending the company in enforcement matters. You will provide strategic legal guidance on emerging regulatory requirements and collaborate closely with Legal, Public Policy, Communications, and other teams to ensure consistent regulatory positioning.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience in a demanding and innovative legal environment, including in-house experience at a technology company. A strong background in regulatory matters related to online platforms, exceptional judgment, and excellent communication skills are essential. The ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities is also required.

Pinterest offers a flexible work model called PinFlex, allowing employees to work remotely with periodic in-person collaboration. This role may require in-office presence 1-2 times per quarter and can be based anywhere in the United States. The base salary range for this position is $158,765 to $326,870 USD, with eligibility for equity and other benefits.
