Sr. Data Analyst
As a Senior Data Analyst at Viant Technology, you will be instrumental in developing and scaling the company's data platforms and advanced reporting capabilities. This role focuses on enhancing how marketers and internal teams access, trust, and act on data by creating robust reporting solutions and contributing to scalable data products. Viant Technology is a leading advertising software company that enables marketers to plan, execute, and measure omnichannel ad campaigns through a cloud-based platform.
In this position, you will lead the development of complex SQL-based datasets that power reporting and data products. Responsibilities include owning the end-to-end delivery of reporting solutions, from requirements gathering through deployment and iteration. You will define, standardize, and maintain core business and measurement metrics, establish best practices for data quality assurance, and troubleshoot complex data issues to drive root cause analysis across systems. Collaboration with Product, Tech Solutions, and Operations teams is essential to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
The ideal candidate will have 4 to 7+ years of experience in data analytics, data platforms, or related roles. Advanced SQL expertise, particularly with BigQuery, is strongly preferred, along with experience building and owning reporting solutions using tools like Tableau. A proven ability to manage data quality and implement quality assurance frameworks is crucial. The role requires the ability to operate independently and drive projects with minimal direction, as well as experience working with data platforms such as BigQuery or Databricks. Exposure to AI-enabled data tools and experience in ad tech, measurement, or marketing analytics are advantageous. Strong communication skills are necessary to translate technical concepts into business context.
Viant Technology offers a competitive compensation package, with a base salary range of $85,000 to $105,000 per year.
