Sr. Director, Human Resources
The Sr. Director, Human Resources at Viant Technology will lead the company's core people operations, employee relations, and learning & development functions. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing and developing HR and L&D teams, driving operational rigor, and supporting the company through growth, change, and transformation. The position blends hands-on execution with large-scale strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing teams across Employee Relations, HR Operations, and Learning & Development, while providing oversight of Benefits through established processes and partners. The role serves as the senior escalation point for complex employee relations matters, partnering with Legal and executive leadership to drive fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes. Additionally, the Sr. Director will oversee learning & development initiatives, including onboarding, manager development, leadership training, and career growth programs, in close partnership with L&D leadership.
The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with deep expertise in Employee Relations and HR Operations, and at least 5 years of experience leading and developing people managers and teams. A comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR compliance across the employee lifecycle is essential. Proven experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including HR diligence, integration, and change management, is also required. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master's degree or relevant certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Viant offers a competitive compensation package, with a base salary range of $200,000 to $240,000. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Final title and compensation for the position will be based on several factors, including work experience and education.
