Sr. Full Stack Engineer
Viant Technology is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Platform team, responsible for developing and maintaining the Demand Side Platform (DSP) used by clients to manage ad campaigns. This role involves working on a complex suite of backend services and frontend interfaces deployed across a distributed, multi-region, cloud-based infrastructure. As a senior engineer, you will contribute to building scalable and extensible solutions that align with our long-term strategic goals.
In this position, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to develop end-to-end features, encompassing responsive user interfaces using Angular or React, and robust backend services in Java and Go. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining APIs and microservices in cloud environments such as AWS and GCP, writing optimized SQL queries to support various application functionalities, and ensuring code quality through best practices, including automated testing and continuous integration/deployment pipelines. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies to foster a collaborative development environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of professional experience in the software industry. Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Java or Go is essential, as is experience with client-side technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Angular, or React. A strong background in developing web services, RESTful services, or microservices, and experience with databases like MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgres are also required. Familiarity with cloud-based, container-based, NoSQL, caching, and queuing/pub-sub technologies is preferred.
Viant offers a competitive base compensation range of $120,000 to $180,000, with the final title and compensation determined based on factors such as work experience and education.
