Sr. Manager, Strategy & Growth
Newlab is seeking a dynamic Sr. Manager to join its Strategy team, focusing on global expansion initiatives. This role involves leading research on potential new locations and directly supporting market development efforts. The position is based in-person at Newlab's Brooklyn Navy Yard location.
Key responsibilities include conducting rapid analyses of inbound market development opportunities, proactively building a market expansion pipeline, and leading research on potential new locations. The Sr. Manager will synthesize analyses into clear market theses to drive internal decision-making and business case development. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a structured geographic expansion pipeline and coordinating internally to ensure effective allocation of team resources.
The ideal candidate will have 6-9+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, economic development, management consulting, public-private partnerships, or a related field. Proven experience leading research and analysis projects that inform investment or expansion decisions is essential. Strong research skills, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously are required. A high level of emotional intelligence, a strong bias for action, and a team-oriented approach are also important.
Compensation for this role ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided, along with in-office perks.
