Sr. Software Engineer - React
Experian is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in React to join our Product Development team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying web-tier applications, with a focus on integrating AWS technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to our new platform initiatives and support ongoing maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and offering insights on the existing codebase, ensuring performance optimization, and collaborating effectively within a team environment. The engineer will participate in project estimations based on interface wireframes and desired functionalities, develop reusable patterns to enhance team velocity, and research emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions. Additionally, the role involves engaging in all pertinent project meetings, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining clear communication with management regarding status and potential roadblocks.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 6 to 8 years of related experience. Required skills include over 6 years of front-end development using JavaScript, ES6, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and responsive design. A minimum of 4 years' experience in building responsive, single-page web applications using React/Redux and React Hooks is essential. Strong understanding of unit and integration testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library is required. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools, experience in building secure software, and effective collaboration within a team are also necessary. Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark is advantageous.
