As a Senior Staff Design Verification Engineer at Lightmatter, you will play a pivotal role in our interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with digital, photonic, and analog designers. Your primary responsibility will be to rigorously verify complex designs using advanced UVM testbench techniques, ensuring the integrity and performance of our innovative products. This position is based in Toronto, Ontario, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the forefront of computing technology.

In this role, you will define and enhance design verification methodologies for integrated digital, analog, and photonic devices, with a strong emphasis on emulation. You will create and execute comprehensive test plans to achieve high-quality tapeouts that meet functional and performance goals. Additionally, you will develop reusable and scalable test bench components, collaborate with architects and designers to define validation flows, and work on both block-level and full-chip design verification.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of design verification and SystemVerilog experience. Proficiency in Python, expertise in developing with the UVM library, and experience with simulators such as Xcelium, ModelSim, Questa, or VCS are essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are also required.

We offer a competitive compensation package, with a base salary range of $203,000 to $224,000 CAD, determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data. Total compensation includes a new hire equity grant, annual performance-based equity, and other rewards that recognize your impact and contribution.
