Staff Accountant
Voyager Technologies, Inc., an innovative defense, national security, and space technology company, is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Denver, CO. This role will primarily support billing, accounts receivable, and cash collection activities for our subsidiary portfolio, while also assisting with accounts payable processing and weekly disbursement cycles. The Staff Accountant will report to the Manager of Revenue Accounting and play a key role in ensuring timely invoicing, effective customer follow-up, and accurate financial records.
Key responsibilities include preparing and issuing accurate and timely customer invoices in accordance with contractual terms, monitoring accounts receivable balances, and proactively following up with customers regarding outstanding invoices. The role also involves processing vendor invoices, supporting weekly payment runs, and maintaining vendor records. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 2+ years of general accounting experience. A strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications are essential. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, are also required.
