Staff Data Scientist (AI/ML)
Conga is seeking a Staff Data Scientist specializing in AI and machine learning to join their AI Platform team. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategy, development, and deployment of scalable AI solutions that align with Conga's mission to streamline commercial operations for businesses worldwide. The position is available in Houston, TX, or Boston, MA, with a hybrid work schedule requiring two days in the office.
In this role, the Staff Data Scientist will lead high-priority initiatives, set technical direction for data science programs, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Responsibilities include developing and deploying production-grade machine learning models, mentoring team members, and collaborating across diverse teams to drive AI innovation. The position demands a high degree of expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and applied AI.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; a Ph.D. is preferred but not required. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, including at least 5 years working on AI/ML or GenAI solutions, is essential. Technical expertise in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and LangChain is required, along with advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
