Staff Engineer (AI)
As a Staff Software Engineer at Conga, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable, reliable, and innovative AI and Generative AI solutions. You will lead high-priority projects, set technical directions for teams, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This position offers the opportunity to operate with a high degree of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective collaboration across diverse teams, while mentoring and elevating others to meet a very high technical standard.
Your key responsibilities will include defining and driving the technical vision and roadmap for Conga's AI and Generative AI systems, aligning with company objectives and future growth. You will provide architectural leadership for complex, large-scale AI systems and act as a thought leader in AI technologies, influencing cross-functional technical decisions and long-term strategies. Additionally, you will own high-impact projects, shaping the future of Conga's products while fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years in AI/ML or Generative AI. A proven track record of designing and deploying scalable, production-grade AI solutions is essential. Deep expertise in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph, and KubeFlow is required. Advanced knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, generative models, and large language models (LLMs), along with proficiency with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure, and modern DevOps practices, is also necessary. A strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL) is expected.
Conga offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a U.S. base salary range of $153,692 to $245,908, determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
