Staff Software Engineer (AWS, SQL)

As a Staff Software Engineer at Diligent Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure, scalable microservices on AWS. This position focuses on developing a cutting-edge data ecosystem that powers feeds, analytics platforms, reports, and dashboards used by customers daily. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence technical direction and ensure the delivery of high-performance solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include setting technical direction across teams, driving AI-native and cloud-native architecture, and leading the design of secure, scalable MCP hosts and AWS microservices. You will also influence AI adoption through AI-first solution design, model guidance, prompt strategy, and built-in governance and monitoring. Additionally, you will shape roadmaps with Product, Security, and DevOps teams to deliver compliant, high-impact solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep background in enterprise software design, implementation, and operation, with extensive hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture and services, ideally on AWS. A strong foundation in data-driven systems, including data acquisition, processing pipelines, and customer-facing reporting, is essential. Proven experience in delivering AI-based customer solutions to production and familiarity with modern data transformation tools such as dbt are also required.
