Staff Software Engineer - Front End AI (Bangkok based, Relocation provided)
As a Staff Front-End Engineer at Agoda, you will design and build AI-driven chat experiences that power Agoda’s AI Assistant, trip planning and discovery, customer support flows, and proactive recommendations. You will work closely with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to define, build, and scale the next generation of AI solutions that make travel planning more intuitive, personalized, and effortless for millions of customers worldwide.
Key responsibilities include spearheading the architecture and system design of Agoda’s next-generation front-end systems, driving best-in-class performance, accessibility, and usability, mentoring the front-end engineering team, influencing stakeholders in the Product and Business teams, and setting technical standards to ensure scalability.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience building and leading rich web applications at scale, deep mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Next, or Vue, a portfolio showcasing robust, high-performance SPA/SSR front ends and core web vitals, strong background in team leadership, system design, and stakeholder influence. Experience with A/B experimentation, international exposure, or travel/e-commerce products is a plus.
