Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack
Midi Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack, to play a pivotal role in our Engineering Organization. This position is integral to scaling our technical infrastructure and developing products that revolutionize women's healthcare. The role is based in San Francisco or Palo Alto, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays; remote work is an option for candidates outside commuting distance.
The Staff Software Engineer will analyze complex technical challenges, lead architectural reviews across multiple teams, and prevent technical debt. Responsibilities include crafting scalable and flexible products, establishing best practices for automated testing and CI/CD, and partnering with leadership to translate business goals into technical strategies. Mentoring senior and junior engineers to foster a culture of curiosity and technical excellence is also a key aspect of the role.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in building and scaling complex engineering solutions, with a proven track record in leading large-scale architectural migrations within startup environments. Proficiency in Django/DRF and React/Next.js or similar technologies is required. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at a high level of abstraction, translating product and growth goals into concrete technical roadmaps, and has experience in building consumer-facing products alongside complex operational systems. Familiarity with agentic coding tools and large language models to accelerate development is also desired.
The estimated salary range for this role is $210,000 to $260,000 per year, based on experience and skills.
